A Collaboration Project between Yollocalli, Enlace, & The Kickback

Today our lives are recorded frequently and instantly, and sometimes we forget to pause to remember what that moment meant. We present a collection of moments captured by the young people of Little Village. These young artists take you through a day shared together, celebrating friendships and community. Yollocalli Arts Reach and Enlace Chicago collaborated on a project presented by the Kickback – Round 8: Design Lab & Exhibit // Show & Tell. Teens from each program were given disposable cameras to document their community of Little Village.

Yollocalli is the youth initiative of the National Museum of Mexican Art. We provide free visual art and digital media programming to teens and young adults in the Little Village and Pilsen neighborhoods. You can learn about all the great work we do online! Check out Yollocali’s website and social media.

Enlace Chicago is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of Little Village residents by fostering a safe and healthy environment and by championing opportunities for educational advancement and economic development. Check out Enlace’s website and social media.

Kickback aims to assist and empower at-risk youth, grades 1-12, who experience disadvantages due to low-income, mental health, opportunity, and school structure through footwear. We’ve turned to Sport, Media, Art & Community programming designed to boost selfesteem and encourage the improvement of mental and physical health. Check out The Kickback’s website and social media.
